Cherry Heads to the DL
The Orioles placed right-handed pitcher Rocky Cherry on the 15-day disabled list with a shoulder strain.  Baltimore acquired Cherry from the Cubs last season.

Patton's Season is Over in Baltimore
Orioles pitcher Troy Patton, obtained from the Houston Astros as part of the Miguel Tejada trade, will have season-ending shoulder surgery.  A test performed on the 22-year-old lefty revealed a torn labrum.

Mitchell Report Probably Won't Lead To Suspensions

Trachsel Heads Back to Baltimore
The Orioles signed veteran pitcher Steve Trachsel to a Minor League deal.  The 37-year-old righty was traded from the O's to the Chicago Cubs on Aug. 31 of last season.
