Brandon McCarthy To Miss 4-6 Weeks
General manager Jon Daniels said Sunday that Brandon McCarthy is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with what the Rangers are calling severe inflammation in a forearm muscle near his elbow.

Rangers Sign Ponson
Texas signed pitcher Sidney Ponson to a minor league deal Sunday.  The 31-year-old righty played for the Minnesota Twins last season and finished 2-5 with a 6.93 ERA in seven starts.
