Rockies Sign Hawpe
The Rockies and Brad Hawpe have agreed to a three-year deal with a fourth-year option. The contract is worth $17MM with the 2011 option expected to be close to $10MM. The deal will lock up Hawpe for each of his arbitration seasons while the team option could eliminate his first year of free agency.

Mitchell Report Probably Won't Lead To Suspensions
Sports Illustrated is reporting that Bud Selig will most likely follow the suggestion of the report's author and not suspend most of the players named in the report.

Rockies Sign Corpas to Extension
Colorado closer Manny Corpas agreed to a four-year, $8 million extension with the Rockies on Thursday.  The deal includes two option years and could be worth $22 million if exercised.  Corpas finished 4-2 with a 2.08 ERA and converted 19 of 20 save opportunities last season.

Rockies Pull Out of Perez Deal
Neifi Perez signed a $750,000 minor league contract with Colorado on Tuesday, but the club decided against bringing him back on Wednesday.  "We just didn't feel like it was a good fit," assistant general manager Bill Geivett said.  Perez has 18 games remaining on an 80-game suspension he received last season after testing positive for stimulants for a third time.
