If Not Traded, Crede Will Start

General manager Ken Williams said Sunday that Joe Crede would be the Opening Day third baseman if a trade can't be worked out before then. This move obviously leaves Josh Fields in the lurch. The rookie blasted 23 home runs in only 373 at bats last year.
